Dear Alumni & Friends, Every fall for the last 41 years, I’ve been excited to walk through the doors of gym 143 in Pearson Hall to work with the next group of Temple gymnasts - a team of young men that proudly represent Temple University and all of those who came before them. This year remains the same; however, it has come time to pass the torch to an extremely capable leader in former Owl Jesse Kitzen-Abelson. A Reunion of the Ages

We had a fine celebration of Fred's 41 years as head coach of Temple U Men's Gymnastics when many alumni and friends met a the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue on Oct 28. Nearly 200 joined together to enjoy each other's company, participate in a fund-raiser for both TUMG and Philadelphia Boys' Gymnastics, which Fred started at TU in 2003 and now continues to run in Germantown and provides training for 50+ boys ages 5-16. The evening began with a cocktail reception and folks had a chance to see several tables of memorabilia, photos and awards. Salters Builds his Reputation

Sophomore Evan Salters is a star pupil, balancing out his gymnastics and business school efforts. He is our current gymnast of the month and is developing the skills he needs to do well in International Business. I recently interviewed sophomore Evan Salters about his field of study, financial planning. We spoke about the opportunities he has found and a few challenges as well. Evan Salters was accepted into the Fox Fund club at Temple University. The Fox Fund is a selective valuation investment club on the Temple campus which examines and studies how to invest in valuable stocks. This club meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4-5pm.
