Building Collegiate Gymnastics on the East

West Point, NY- The inaugural Junior Development National Championships took place this past weekend at the Lou Gross Center (the training gym for the U.S. Military Academy). I, along with my fellow colleagues of collegiate gymnastics spent the day to encourage these kids to continue on in college and that there are many options for them to continue their careers.

Dave Albranes and Garison Clark were there to represent the NY Alliance, and I was there to represent Temple University. We all have a passion for men's collegiate gymnastics and we want to see this sport to continue to grow. Dave, Garison, and I were impressed with the level of skills and we saw much potential for the future. If you love this sport, then continue doing what you love in college. NY has several great options to compete at a club or varsity level of gymnastics. Visit https://www.nycollegegymnastics.com to learn more about their program and structure. Those wanting to continue in Philadelphia, Temple University is for you! We're at the home of Rocky Balboa, cheese steaks and the world champion Eagles.

Congratulations to all the competitors for a fun and successful competition. We hope to see many of you in the future competing on the college circuit. Thank you to Rich Pulsfort for creating the event, and coaches Doug Van Everen and Carmine Giglio for hosting and allowing us to speak to the competitors and parents about our programs.
